Dr. Innes started his education at Santa Barbara City College and then transferred to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo where he graduated Summa Cum Laude (top 1%) with a biology degree in anatomy and cell biology. He was accepted to UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and Graduated in the top 10% of his class in 1993. Dr. Innes had advanced training in TTA surgeries for canine knee injuries and ultrasound imaging technology and attends 20-30 hours of continuing education yearly. He purchased the Village Veterinary Hospital in 1998 and has developed it into a busy and well equipped facility where his emphasis is on individual and personalized high quality care.
When not working he enjoys spending time with his wife Jamie and their 2 children Jade and Sage. He also enjoys hiking, snow skiing, and mountain bike riding. The Innes’ have 3 dogs – Austin (Cairn Terrier), Charlie (King Charles Spaniel), Maggie (Pekingese mix); 2 cats – Henry and Oliver; and a parakeet – Lovey.
